This is a giveaway book I received on 17th Jan, 2017 (almost a month after the giveaway ended).Julie has disappeared for few months. While everyone convinces that she left her fiancee, Matthews believes otherwise. He afraid that Julie has been held captive after seen the photos that depicted her unrecognizable figure. On the other hand, Julies abductor is hell bent to break her sanity. The structure of this book consists of short chapters; focusing on Julies and her fiancee, Matthews point of views during her kidnapping. The pace of the first half of the book is slow and dull. Matthews point of view begins to repetitively repeated in few chapters (I picked up and dropped the book few times during the first half of the book). However, the book quickly picks up its pace on the second half; make it enjoyable to finish reading it in one sitting. The plot twist and our abductors point of view in the final chapter are definitely welcomed. The psychological and the action aspects in the book is a little off balanced. First half of the book heavily focused on psychological and the second half is about the action. Maybe balancing between those two aspects will made the book more pleasant to read. Perhaps by peering more into the mind of our abductor and into Julies background will provide a satisfying and complete experience. Lastly, itll be more enjoyable to read about Julies earlier collective writing during her captivity.Recommended? Maybe, if you are looking for <300 pages book that is easy to read. Its short chapters make them easy to digest.
