A vampire hunter fights to save a besieged city from an army of otherworldly creatures controlled by Dracula.
When Lisa Tepes, beloved wife of Vlad Tepes AKA Dracula is acused of witchcraft and burned at the stake by an overzealous bishop, Dracula declares war on the people of Wallachia and unleashes an army of murderous demonic creatures from hell. Luckily, Trevor Belmont, last survivor of the Belmont clan, a disgraced family known for hunting all kinds of monsters, is still in town and agrees to take the fight to the lord of vampires.
The first few minutes were confusing and the dialogue sounded a bit socially awkward (my socially awkward brother loved the humor though), but after that, I became very intrigued. It went from silly to sad to dark really fast. The pacing is rather quick, but I guess that's what happens when you try to fit a long story into 4 episodes. I loved the animation a lot, and despite not being into gore, I enjoyed it anyway, it just fits in with the story. The action was straight to the point, but fluid and impressive. The characters were likable, including the villain (I don't approve of what he's doing, just his reasons). I think it's clever to open the story on the villain's perspective, I felt bad for him in the beginning. Yes, it has a lot of anti-Christianity sentiment, but if you take offense then maybe you take it too seriously. Back then we had the Salem Witch Trials, the Inquisition, lots of corruption & violence in the name of religion- people were not that intelligent in the past, so they did dumb things. Either way, I think it's a good story mechanic, and I actually like how they flip themes on their heads- the bad guy with a tragic past, the hero full of nihilism, and what you would think were good guys are actually bad guys. I would watch this again.
I also wanted to give this a better review, will update if they actually release more.<br/><br/>As of right now, the show is &#39;nice&#39; for how short it is. Starts off with giving you the backstory of whats going on ie Dracula&#39;s shoes, then immediately flips to the protagonist. After a brief intro of him, Series is done.<br/><br/>Where are the meat and potatoes?!?! The content of the show? Show length is of a Cartoon.<br/><br/>Cartoons nowadays have a beginning, middle and end in 20 mins. With a cliffhanger to keep you going. This show, just gives you an introduction, and ends. Disappointing as of 7/11/2017
