Ive read a few stories and books by Joe Hart now and find I enjoy some more than others. This one was one I didnt love as much as other short stories he has written.I struggle to find what genre to sit his books in, some seem like modern horror, others suspenseful, but Im a touch confused regardless. Its marketed at horror but its not the least scary, weird perhaps but no scare factor here.The writing is always very good, a definite strength with this short story but I found the plot a bit lacklustre, it had a lot more potential to be more scary and thrilling. I think packing in more scare factor early on would have really lifted the game on this one.Lukewarm on this one, just okay, middle of the road, Ive read much better from him by far. Only 2.5 stars from the Booklover Catlady on this one Im afraid. Next.....
