Blood type: OYū Asagiri (あさぎり夕, Asagiri Yū), born Yuriko Takano (高野夕里子, Takano Yuriko), who also writes as Yū Asagiri (朝霧夕, Asagiri Yū), is a Japanese mangaka from Tokyo, Japan. She made her professional manga debut in 1976. Asagiri received the 1987 Kodansha Manga Award for shōjo for Nana Iru Majikku (Seven Colors Magic). Her other works include Golden Cain, Midnight Panther. She provided the art for Kirara Boshi no Daiyogen, with the story by Kyoko Mizuki.Asagiri Yuu debuted on Nakayoshi in 1977 with Hikari mezashite tonde yuke. She won the 11th Koudansha annual manga award with the work Nana iro magic in 1987. Asagiri is good at drawing pretty people and using SD-characters at appropriate times, and has a flair for fashion. Focusing on shoujo-manga, most of her works are published by Koudansha, but recently she made a vague comment about wanting to be free and try something new.
