INTRODUCTION

Chimaera is a novice platform which aims at providing an extravagant range of tools and infrastructure. Especially, for game developers enabling them to build their own game worlds that are befitting to the vision of the project. They can fully leverage the Chimaera technology to build decentralised games and issue their own game currency that can be traded for CHI or other chimaera game coins/assets.

Chimaera caters to the needs of both the present gaming and cryptocurrency markets and the also the markets which will progress through the process of games being created on top of the blockchain. This new market is attributable to the creation of new virtual universes and item trading possibilities that are substantially deeper and more flexible than other emerging and simple trading systems using smart contracts. Chimaera targets both developers and gamers.

Chimaera Evolution Phases

The Chimaera platform will develop in three phases depicted below.

First Phase – Building The Foundation.

The first phase is intended to grow the platform. For developers, grants and funding will be provided to get the first games on the Chimaera platform. This phase will get the gears moving as games are released on the platform, bringing in early users. This stage is targeted at a niche that is already knowledgeable about the blockchain and wants first hand experience of what it can do for gaming.

Second Phase – Offering Opportunity.

With the first phase completed, a fraud-proof trading platform will be introduced, which will make assets highly liquid. Further, a mobile relay service will enable easy integration on mobile platforms. With more games being actively played on the Chimaera platform, a second wave of users, those who are interested in earning, will begin engaging with Chimaera. This wave of players will improve the economy by bringing more transactions to the platform and widening the pool of active players.

Third Phase – Mass Adoption.

The third and final phase is when Chimaera goes mainstream. By this point there will be an ample set of players on the platform and a healthy CHI economy. A large pool of players will also attract larger game studios to develop and contribute to the platform, attracting even more players.

Huntercoin was released in February 2014 as a proof of concept to test how well blockchain technology could cope with facilitating a fully-decentralized Massively Multiplayer Online Game, and it succeeded in this experiment. Huntercoin is still the only game that runs entirely on the blockchain. The Chimaera Token Exchange Period will allow interested parties to exchange BTC for CHI Tokens. Tokens can be redeemed once the genesis block is mined

CHI Token

Chimaera’s economy will be powered by CHI tokens, which will be used for accounts creation, in-game assets purchases, and even for services like new games crowdfundings. The developers will be able to earn CHI for their work and the gamers for their efforts in-game.

What makes the idea more awesome, is that the players will be able to exchange their in-game assets in one game to CHI tokens and use them for purchase in another or even translate it to the real world and make a real profit.
