The only problems i had with this show were ben&#39;s lack of character development from UAAF and (temporarily) the animation style.<br/><br/>Yes, it may seem childish at first, but once you watch the show for a while, i promise it will start to grow on you, this animation really gives some expression over UAAF&#39;s bland and expressionless animation style, as if coming from a &quot;how to draw anime&quot; art book.<br/><br/>Yes, the show may seem uninteresting at first, but the plot digs deeper, and it stays loyal to UAAF fans, since it includes some big plot twists that dig back to those two previous shows.
7 out of 10 for the kids. For those of us that have followed this show from the beginning, (and i&#39;m a 48 year old geek), it doesn&#39;t hold up so far. Just caught the first episode last night and instead of going forward with Ben, they seem to have taken him backwards. <br/><br/>He seems younger both physically and mentally in this new take on it. The alien forms are all different, and once again he has no idea who does what, which is cool as always. <br/><br/>My biggest problem with this, is that they seem to have made it for a younger audience, when it wants to carry on from where it was. Kevin and Gwen leave, and Ben gets a new sidekick. All in all, it&#39;s okay. For those of us that have followed this show for some reason, it doesn&#39;t quite make it. 4/10 But only 1/2 of episode 1 was shown, and the actual one hour premiere hasn&#39;t aired yet. So it is possible a lot of this will change in the next 30 minutes of it. There&#39;s hope for it, no question. Just wish Ben didn&#39;t look 10 years old again.
