I attended the rallies this summer for George Floyd and BLM. There I met some outstanding mothers who stand up for the rights of others as well as their right to be the size they are.
This young mother, Tareema, and I had a great talk about our lives and values.
:::: Two years ago I stopped adding to my site on successful large mothers. I had just lost my job at the PBA (Positive Body Awareness) Center, a therapy practice advocating body size acceptance rather than dieting. I felt that all my work had been lost. Recently, I've connected with the list again and although the center is now closed, their work--our work--goes on.
I'm proud to post new photos and stories of beautiful and active size-positive mothers.

Her daughter is a large 'n lovely girl, too.

"Ever since I was a heavy child I was told I couldn't do things because of my size: rides, activities . . . meet boys. Some how I managed to have two children of my own! Today I found stables who didn't think I was too fat to ride one of their horses. I feel so damn normal. Please post this for all your fat woman lovin' guys!"

Our "spokeswoman" for plus-size motherhood, Tess Holliday, is due this month. Has anyone heard? There have been few pictures in the final month but one of the gossip sites reports her as saying the baby is kicking furiously.

Andi's found a summer job at a camp. "I've never been very a very active person--I guess that shows--but I get to be around active teens and still not struggle too much with physical activity!"

I met [boyfriend's name] and it wasn't too soon later that we started a family. Our initials are that of ADam and EVe. We feel like the first people making more of ourselves. Do you suppose, could Eve have been plus-size?

The love of parents for their child is unparalleled. There is no denying that a parent will do anything to protect their child from harm and try to equip them as best as possible for the challenges of the world. However, subjecting a child to brutality is not a part of that preparation.
But that’s the view a couple who turned their daughter into a ‘sex slave’ seems to hold.
As reported by the DailyMail, the girl was assaulted frequently from December 2016 to March 2017.
She also admitted that she herself was raped when she was 13-years-old and claimed that they were only training their daughter in advance for adult life. The couple believed that it was better for her to lose her virginity with her father than learn about sexual life in other ways.

Her grandmother and great-grandmother also lived in the same flat but denied having any knowledge of the assault. As per latest developments, the parents have now been stripped of their parental rights, which means they will never be allowed to raise a child again. The girl has been put in care.
I can’t imagine the monstrosity of such people who really believe in their twisted minds that they were preparing their daughter by subjecting her to such trauma. We hope they are aptly punished for their horrendous crime.
