When they first announced that Superman and Wonder Woman would become a couple in Justice League, I was surprised. Surprised because it came out of nowhere. It seemed more like a publicity stunt than anything else. There was no build up to it. No spark or tension. In Justice League, they were too busy fighting each other or fighting Darksied to have time for relationships with each other. And then they announced a new ongoing series for Superman and Wonder Woman, to explore the relationship between the two characters and have some fun team up stories along the way. And since the solo Wonder Woman series is as good as it is, I thought Id give another title with her in a shot.Its a promising first issue. Ive never been much of a fan of Tony Daniel, but here he does some majestic flying shots which look pretty, along with some exciting fight scenes. Nothing overly amazing, but its nice to look at. But from this series, I need Charles Soule to make me believe why these two are together. If each story is going to be dates getting interrupted by a villain, its going to get boring. But at the same time, there does need to be action. Ill stick around for a while and give this title a shot.
