This was an enjoyable and quite a fun read. I love the front cover, and the story itself was interesting and easy to follow. I would describe this story as a ghostly romance with a little bit of humour thrown in from time to time.I think this story is suitable for teenagers and adults. I wouldn’t say it is scary at all. Although, it is a little dark with regards to the whaling, so probably not the best book for a strict vegetarian.The characters were very likeable, even the dead ones. My only criticism is that I would probably have preferred it to be slightly longer, so I could have got to know the characters a little more, and perhaps built up more suspense in places. I did find myself feeling for Eli though, as his story was very sad.I received this book through Netgalley in exchange for an honest review, and I’d happily read more by this author.
