The topics and issues at hand come down to the question of correctness over how to keep identity a secret. Is it better to simply wear a mask, or allow the world to believe you dont have one by NOT wearing a mask. The one piece is only brought up tangentially is that Superman actually wears a mask as CLARK - by hiding behind glasses and slicked back hair. Would everyone react differently to any other revelation of a secret identity? Probably not. I do think the whole thing is VERY blown out of proportion, but sort of understandable.I think the best parts of this issue are actually the testimonials and thoughts of Clarks friends and neighbors who are being held and interrogated by government agents. This reveals a lot about relationships and individual characters.Interesting piece in the mosaic of this storyline.
