Two years after the Leipzig fight and immediately following the destruction of Asgard, the Avengers and the Guardians of the Galaxy learn that the Mad Titan Thanos is seeking to collect the Infinity Stones, which are said to be the most powerful artifacts in the universe. Facing an enemy too powerful to stop alone, the Avengers and the Guardians, alongside Doctor Strange, Black Panther and Spider-Man must come together and stop Thanos from inflicting his power and destroying the universe.
The mad titan Thanos (Josh Brolin) begins his hunt for the most powerful objects in the universe, the Infinity Stones, in Marvel Studios' highly anticipated Avengers: Infinity War. With the Space Stone, given by Loki (Tom Hiddleston), and the Power Stone, Thanos sends (Ebony Maw, Cull Obsidian to retrieve the Time Strone from Doctor Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch), sends Proxima Midnight, and Corvus Glaive) to retrieve the Mind Stone from Vision (Paul Bettany). Meanwhile, Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.) meets up with Bruce Banner (Mark Ruffalo) and sorcerers Doctor Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch) and Wong (Benedict Wong). With help from Peter Parker (Tom Holland), A.K.A. Spider-Man, Stark and Strange join forces together and agree to stop Thanos. In space, Thor (Chris Hemsworth) also joins forces with the Guardians of the Galaxy, Star-Lord (Chris Pratt), Drax (Dave Bautista), Rocket (Bradley Cooper), Groot (Vin Diesel), Mantis (Pom Klementieff), and Gamora (Zoe Saldana), the daughter of Thanos who warns Thor of his power. Thor travels away to defeat Thanos with Rocket and Groot while the other Guardians join forces with Stark, Strange, and Parker. In Wakanda, Steve Rogers (Chris Evans) and his team, Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson), Falcon (Anthony Mackie), Scarlet Witch (Elizabeth Olsen), War Machine (Don Cheadle), and Bruce Banner to protect Vision and the Mind Stone in his forehead. With protection given from King T'Challa (Chadwick Boseman), A.K.A. Black Panther, and his Wakandan army, Thanos will come for everyone to destroy half the universe.
Avengers: Infinity War manages to fix and upgrade superhero movies on many levels. First, it manages to deliver a truly intimidating villain with a good motivation. Thanos, played by Josh Brolin, is an upgrade of great Marvel villains such as Killmonger, who is human, and Hela, who is a goddess. Brolin's delivery is perfect, his voice is calm but intimidating and his performance makes you actually root for him. P.s. he gets to manhandle some of the most powerful Avengers. Second, Infinity War manages to raise the stakes like never before. Even Thanos' henchmen are formidable fighters and can take on any Avenger any time. Never before have I really feared for the lives of a superhero in a superhero movie. Third, all characters have enough screen time to allow them to shine and to remind you why they are heroes. Unfortunately, Black Widow does not get much material to work with, but she has a kickass fight in the end, so I am cool. Finally, despite the destruction, the movie manages to lighten the mood periodically so it does not get too depressing. The stirring musical score by Alan Silvestri is so well integrated to the movie that manages to rouse you without you noticing it. All in all, Avengers: Infinity War is probably the only movie where you really fear for all the heroes, but somehow also root for the villain.
WARNING: SPOILERS!!

Honestly I don't even know where to begin.

There was almost no character development. They threw some Gamora stuff in there randomly so that you'd feel bad for Thanos, but that's just cheap crap that doesn't actually count as character development.

There were no stakes and no reason to care about any of the characters, or even care who won. Is it wrong that I don't care that a bunch of the heroes just died at the end? I literally don't give a crap cuz this movie gives me no reason to.

Thanos is completely non compelling. He's not interesting in any way, shape or form. He has no character, you don't know anything about him, have no reason to be scared of him or feel for him.

Everything happened separately, and was unnecessarily complicated i.e. Thor and the foundry.

This movie pays no respect to any of it's characters, especially long running and popular characters. Loki and Gamora are just killed straight up, no send off whatsoever.

Thanos has spent years planning this one thing for what reason? He just came and got all the stones and killed half the universe in one day, so why'd he wait so long?

This was a completely emotionless movie overrun with side quests of no importance or interest.

There's literally nothing right about this movie, I literally can't even begin to go over everything it failed on.

This is literally the biggest disappointment in the entire MCU. I wish this was a gigantic late April fools joke, because this movie is a joke, and isn't worthy to be the culmination of 10 years of mostly fantastic movies.
What saves Infinity War from being just another bloated supergroup tour – and what will end up being the thing that blows fans’ minds to dust – is the film’s final stretch.
It has been speculated that the film will conclude the Thanos arc and the Infinity Stones arc and the film's plot has been speculated to be about The Avengers and the Guardians of the Galaxy joining forces to stop Thanos from destroying the universe with the six Infinity Stones. 4 Nov 2017: Deleted the QA asking which superheroes will appear because the full cast is listed on the movie's main page. a5c7b9f00b
