After a successful raid on a HYDRA base, Tony Stark and Bruce Banner create an Artificial Intelligence called Ultron, a peacekeeping protocol designed to help the Avengers protect the world from their enemies. But things go wrong when Ultron sees the human race as a threat and sets out to destroy it along with the Avengers. Now the Avengers, Iron Man, Thor, Captain America, the Hulk, Black Widow and Hawkeye, must reassemble to stop Ultron from causing mass destruction. Aside from this, the Avengers also must take on the powerful twins Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch as well as the new entity called Vision. Also, the Avengers find that things may never be the same again after discovering a power beyond their comprehension.
After finding intelligence in Loki's scepter, Tony Stark and Bruce Banner use it to start Ultron, a peacemaker, who soon uncovers the world's wrongs, and plans to rid human error. With help from experimented human beings turned allies, the Avengers search to hunt for Ultron, who is trying to make a synthetic human body to upload his mind into.
This film is epic just like the first one, the same fine elements, a fluid storyline built from a complex series of events and characters. A great battle followed by an existential and human situation, and so on. Even we all know the characters too well, the director takes on the challenge to make them interesting in other ways involving a bizarre and megalomaniac guy like Ultron. I can watch this movie many times and still find new details that makes it charming. Congratulations to Joss Whedon and it's sad to know he has left The Avengers future projects. If you want action, extreme battle scenes, a good taste of superhero humor, some romance, meet new marvel characters and enjoy a boost of imagination, this is the film right for you and your kids.
Another shot for what has become the most successful franchise series of all time. The dollars are rolling in for the Marvel universe, and so time to milk another in this series.<br/><br/>The first Avengers was great, but this one does not have the comfort of the first which was introducing characters to write the story. Instead this adds more characters and it doesn&#39;t half become bloated. The story isn&#39;t a million miles from the standard super hero comic book, so no need to elaborate on that.<br/><br/>Anyhow, the action from the get go is full on and only a few lulls to fill in emotional storyline to make us empathise with our heroes.<br/><br/>Special effects are great and so forth,and acting is great as the actors have more than filled in the shoes of their characters.<br/><br/>The problem is that this is not bringing anything new to the table. If anything it&#39;s standard stuff, and so despite the heavy and long fight scenes, I was losing attention and interest. Seen it all before and done better elsewhere, and the villain was little interesting and should been fleshed out more.<br/><br/>With so many characters and cameos to fit in, it gets baggy and can&#39;t focus or develop. The Black Widow and Hulk relationship really wasn&#39;t working either when the only time in minutes that could be devoted to it could be counted in single digits.<br/><br/>Maybe this was missing someone of the quality of Loki/Tom Hiddlestone, who really stole the show in the Thor films and first Avengers film.<br/><br/>It&#39;s a fine Saturday night cinema blockbuster but after some great graphic novel adaptions of late, this is a disappointment for me. Not bad but not one I&#39;ll likely return to.
Bigger and, yes, darker than the first, this is less air-punchingly gleeful but probably more consistent. Thanks to Whedon and the most charismatic, compelling cast you’ll find anywhere, Age of Ultron redefines the scale we can expect from our superhero epics but still fits human-sized emotion amid the bombast.
