The Indian Defence Minister is in the heart of Budapest on a friendly foreign visit. There is however a hidden agenda behind the smiles and handshakes. A floppy that has information that could affect the destiny of the Indian nation. Manu Verma, the head of the Minister's security is informed that an assassin, Raghavan is out to eliminate the Minister. Before the evening is through, Raghavan strikes and vanishes into thin air - and the floppy too. Verma becomes a man obsessed with capturing Raghavan.
After the assasination of the Indian Defence Minister, the authorities decide to launch a manhunt for the killer, and assign this case to Inspector Manu Verma. Manu's investigation results in the arrest of a man named Raghavan, who is found guilty, and sentenced to be hanged until death. Quoting wilding from the Holy Bhagvad Geeta, Raghavan is hanged, and Manu returns to his job, his wife and his young daughter. And then Justice Balwant Chaudhry is killed in the same manner Raghavan had killed when he was alive. Before the police could recover, there is another death. This time Inspector Arjun is certain that the killings are done by a person who is copying Raghavan. And the evidence of these killings leads Arjun to none other than Inspector Manu Verma.
Aks was a flop but all the reviews were good I wanted to know who was more accurate the critics or the viewers well I'm on the critics side what a great and different movie for bollywood and having Raveena Tandon in it made it all the more better I loved the interrogation scene between Raveena and Amitabh and the movie was a bit like faceoff but in a bollywood way the songs were well executed and I was surprised by Raveena's role she doesn't usually pick such up front and sexual roles as this. Her whole performance is brilliant as is Amitabh Bachan and Manoj Bajpai. The star cast the spooky songs the fastpace the hollywood features it should have succeeded flop no way. 6 out of 10
I am a Big fan of Amitabh Bachchan. But forget that. I recommend all to watch this movie for at list one time. It is Awesome, stylish, powerful, great experience. Nice experiment from the Director. Hollywood like movie, but has the essence of Bollywood. I am just thrilled to watch how Big B acted in this movie. He was spellbinder, Superb!You will find Persona, style,anger,super coolness, toughness, naughtiness, frightening and also frightened shade in his Character. It's a complete package. I think it is one of the difficult and 'cult' character of the world cinema(including Bollywood and Hollywood). And you would be agree that the best All rounder of acting Mr. Amitabh Bachchan has done pure justice to the character. Manoj Bajpayee was tremendous. Also other actors and actresses were good too. But the ultimate winner is Big B. Singing himself two songs and his dancing will mesmerize you. In a nutshell, it is a classic movie. Still now i wait and search when this movie will be shown in TV channels----- And, feel sad that Indian audiences could not give this movie it's due. I will rate this movie 7 out of 10.
