APEX PWA

Oracle Apex does not have enough mobile applications? Not a problem thanks to the theme that Vincent Morneau, PWA App started!

Progressive Web Apps (PWAs) are web applications that are regular web pages or websites, but can appear to the user like traditional applications or native mobile applications. The application type attempts to combine features offered by most modern browsers with the benefits of a mobile experience.

This video shows an Oracle APEX app being installed on a phone, using only pure JavaScript & pure APEX. When it's installed, the UI feels like a native fullscreen app, without the URL bar or the browser features.

Done as a Progressive Web App proof of concept with Oracle APEX.

Will be presented at ODTUG Kscope 18.
