9/11 was a pivotal moment in U.S. history and has had the greatest impact on modern society. In Joseph P. Jones' New York Times article, "Why 9/11 is Important," the Harvard professor of American history states that the terrorist attacks that occurred on September 11, 2001 helped to "create distrust in the fiber of America" (Jones). The way in which Americans go about their daily lives has drastically changed in the past fifteen years as fear of future terrorist attacks has minimized
