Within the European Investment Banking Division, the Moscow office works with Russian and international clients on mergers and acquisitions, strategy advisory assignments and executions of IPO’s and other public and private capital markets transactions. Clients include companies across various sectors such as Energy, Financial Services, Transportation and Retail/Consumer. Professionals in Moscow work closely with Investment Banking and Global Capital Markets colleagues in London and around the world.

Responsibilities include:

·         Managing and assisting in the execution of corporate finance transactions

·         Performing financial analysis, strategic business analysis and detailed industry research

·         Contributing to team discussions and client meetings

·         Providing rapid and accurate market judgments to colleagues and clients

·         Preparing and delivering client presentations in a clear and compelling manner

·         Advanced quantitative skills are required to analyze and evaluate financial models, mergers and acquisitions pro forma impact analysis as well as apply principles of corporate finance theory to financial valuation. 

·         The role also entails managing projects in a client-facing role, including liaising with potential buyers, clients, clients’ legal counsel, other advisors, and team members from across Morgan Stanley to provide guidance on capital structure and merger impact analysis.

QUALIFICATIONS

·         Master’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Accounting, Mathematics or related field or foreign equivalent 

·         Fluency in English and Russian languages

·         2-3 years Investment Banking (corporate finance/M&A) experience or equivalent required

·         Knowledge of Russian market and corporate landscape

·         Strong analytical and modeling skills

·         Previous experience with financial market data tools, software and programs including Bloomberg, CapitalIQ, ThomsonOne

·         Knowledge of basic accounting and financial concepts; ability to analyze and value businesses

·         Excellent oral and written communication skills

·         Ability to effectively prioritize and handle multiple tasks under tight deadlines
