Yesterday I was contacted by the website Tech Insider to help them list the Top 25 most valuable sets of All Time. It was good timing too since I did run the price guide numbers recently. With no real big surprise, Star Wars led the pack with getting 10 sets into the list.  I think the one surprise is getting a set from 2015 in there with the Bat-Pod.  No one is really sure how long that will remain in the list and if aftermarket builders will do a good enough job on the "fakes" to kill that market.  Good old Mr Gold is still going strong after a few years and holding onto a value greater than $1,500. If you are lucky enough to have every set on this list, you are holding onto a pretty nice bundle of cash, $35,277.95! So the big question is, how many sets on this list do you own? LEGO Minecraft are LEGO-themed sets based on Minecraft. Currently, there are fourteen sets available. One Minecraft block is represented as a 1×1 plate with a tile on top. LEGO states that this is not a perfect cube, but it is "the best approximation at the chosen scale." There are two types of sets - the "Micro World" sets and the normal LEGO sets. The "Micro World" sets contain modules which are 12×12, and may come with several of these modules. Since then the "Micro World" Sets have been discontinued. The Micro World set centers around the Player (Steve) and one of the game's antagonists, a Creeper. The scene is depicted in the Overworld and depicts a few biomes, including a mountain, caves, forest and grassland. The Village features structures in the village, and an abandoned mineshaft. It includes blocks for constructing houses, along with the Pig, Villager, and Zombie figures. The Nether is a stylised depiction of the Nether, and contains a lava sea, a lava stream flowing down a hill, Nether Fortress, and a Nether Portal to connect to the Overworld.

It also includes two Ghasts and a Zombie Pigman. The End is a stylised depiction of the End, and contains the Ender Dragon, six obsidian pillars with ender crystals on top of them, an exit end portal and endermen. The normal LEGO Minecraft sets feature different parts of Minecraft. All the sets include Steve or Alex and at least one mob. The Cave features a cave in Minecraft with different ores and mobs. The Farm features a normal farm in with one cow and one sheep and a skeleton. It includes a crop farm too. The First Night features a basic house in Minecraft and a farm with a pig and a Creeper. Mojang had started a project on the LEGO CUUSOO program, which requires 10,000 signatures for a project to be approved. With the strong support of the Minecraft community, the 10,000 signature objective was achieved in three days,[6] and the development of the LEGO Minecraft set commenced after Lego reviewed the project. Mojang will donate 1% of the proceeds to charity.[6] The first set was subsequently released June 1, 2012.

The second set The Village and the third The Nether were announced at Comic-Con 2013.[3] The fourth set "The End" was announced through a teaser on 8 March[8] followed by a reveal on 14 March on the LEGO Minecraft Facebook page. On the 2nd November 2013, during Minecon, it was announced that The Lego Group would be creating a fully fledged mini-figure scale theme. It is the first time Lego will be working with fans to create the new series of sets, they call this the co-build project. Six more sets were released on 15 November, 2014. These were the first sets that did not follow the "Micro World" design of the previous sets. Another four sets were unveiled at the 2015 London Toy Fair.[4] These sets are expected to be released in August 2015. The whole point of LEGO Technic is about creating complex, realistic, working machines like the one in this Top Ten List… What would be of a LEGO Technic blog without a top ten list? I have built a list with the Technic sets I have been more impressed. I have a few of them and I will try for sure to get the rest. So here is the listBecause the Unimog 400 is a big big vehicle which includes Power Functions set and features a pneumatically powered, articulated crane with working grab and a recovery winch on the front. Read here my review of the LEGO 8110 Unimog. You can still buy LEGO Technic 8110 Mercedes-Benz Unimog U 400 at Amazon but you better hurry up because it is already retired.I could give you a thousand reasons why this model should be here, but you better read my review of this fantastic set and discover it by yourself. You can buy the LEGO Technic 42009 Mobile Crane at Amazon.Because it features a double IR control and lots of Power Function motors.

You can buy LEGO Technic 8043: LEGO Power Functions Motorized Excavator at Amazon but the price is plainly nuts.Just look how cool it looks, I couldn’t but buy it. Also it has IR remote control, two L Motors and one of the new servo motors ( no more rubber bands on the steering ). Read my review of this fantastic set here. You should definitively buy LEGO Technic 9398: 4X4 Crawler at AmazonAlthough it won’t take off the ground it is a really cool looking helicopter and you can add Power Functions so the rotor spins like a real helicopter. This is one of the next model I will buy. Here is my review. I really enjoyed this set. You can order LEGO Technic 9396: Rescue Helicopter now from Amazon. There has been a few great cars on LEGO Technic, like an Enzo Ferrari. This supercar is an example of how cool it can look… although if you google a bit you will see MOC by people that make this car look like a toy. You can buy LEGO Technic 8070: Supercar from Amazon.

You won’t believe how big and cool this car is. When I built it I was simply amazed. In my opinion one of the best LEGO set I have ever built in price/quality. Don’t miss my review. It is not yet late to buy it at Amazon. I am sure you won’t regret it.This is maybe the coolest set ever released by LEGO in the Technic range. With Mindstorms you can create your own robots and machines. It is so nice that I already have two EV3 and one NXT 2.0 Here you have some examples of robot I have built like the Line Follower or the Color Sorter Go and buy one before you regret about it at AmazonI am a 100% serious. This is one of the most enlightening Technic sets that I have touch. When you build it you have the sense of understanding. You are one with the LEGO. And what the hell… the experience only cost 9€. You must read my review of the Model A and Model B. Go and check if Amazon still has it in stock because it is worth every pound you spend on it.When LEGO retired the Unimog they had a new secret weapon.
