It has been available since 1986. Unlike modern crossover utilities, the Jeep Wrangler features a separate body on frame design and rigid live front and rear axles. It can be driven with the top down, without doors, and with the front windshield folded flat. It has a distinctly military-looking profile, since it descends directly from the Jeeps that were used by the U.S. Army in World War II.
