Would be a great car for hunting, hauling, or driving around town. Very reliable and looks great. Seats are comfortable and durable. Gas mileage is not great, but car accelerates and handles very well. Very fun to drive. Overall a great car. Very powerful, great off road and in snow and ice. Breaks are a little soft, hard to get in and out of back seat The fuel economy is the main downfall of my 99 two door tahoe. It has plenty of power and sounds great with flowmaster three chamber exhaust. The four wheel drive system is pretty nice but hubs kick out under a ton of load. Space and styling reminiscent of the old two door broncos. Overall A Very Nice Ride — I really like the overall look of this Tahoe,the comfort,the extra space,and what's not to love about 4x4.The only thing I don't really like is not being able to haul something the way you can in a truck.Overall,this is a very nice ride though. Getting up in miles,bout 18 mpg 216,000 miles and she's still going strong. 4x4 and clean as a whistle.Should last at least another 216k. Can tow a house and get you through snow anything with 4 wheel drive. Nothing can beat a V8. Primary Use: Utility (towing boats, transporting cargo, etc.) Someday I'll have to give it up Awesome Full Size Suv — I think I like the Tahoe for its versatility. From hauling things, to pulling other cars out of being stuck to just traveling it is one of the most comfortable vehicles I have ever owned. The ONLY downside to is that I have seen is the MPG but I drive less than 7k per year so I fuel up very little. Primary Use: Family transportation Comfortable Ride, seats are awesome with my bad back, has never got stuck that I could not get out of, can do just about anything with it. MPG but I knew that when I bought the vehicle a LONG time ago This SUV should have been fitted with the 5.3 or 4.8 liter which came out in 1999 during that year which would have given it great pickup from a dead stop but GM decided to scrap this vehicle after that year model which I still feel is a great mistake on their part.
The SUV is easy to park and will tow anything that I need with comfort and no disrespect to the 5.7 liter because it is a great engine but it just doesn't have the instant response of the newer motors. My future plans is to lay down a 5.7 liter from a corvette in to this one and I might just start enjoying the commute to work more than ever. only fuel economy, blind spotRuns like a beaut and rides like butter. This vehicle has been garage kept and is very clean inside and out. I have maintenance/repair records. The following work was done in December: new spark plugs, wires, rotor and distributor cap, replaced fuel injectors, replaced all gaskets, including lower intake gasket.
Replaced alternator and changed oil & filter last week. Interstate battery and tires are 1 year old. Vehicle has cold AC. Registration and inspection are up to date. Runs and drives great,no machanical problems. Mileage is 14 city and 18 highway. 8 Cylinder 5.7 Vortec Engine Power Windows, Locks and Outside Mirrors Front & Rear AC Controls Front Bench Seat(Seats 6 adults) Front & Rear Tinted Windows Mechanically Sound and drives really nice. Excellant quality for the price. Thought this project was going to be difficult but had them installed in less than 40 minutes. Little hard to get used to the different shape and size when backing into the garage. Mine may need to be shimmed because the power mirror is at it's max limit but should not be a difficult fix. Wished I had the defrost button on my truck to utilize that feature. Everything works they look grate They look fine for towing but the cover well not stay on at the pivot point were bolt on the door have had to be put back on three So far. Drivers and passenger side . I bought these for my 2000 Chevrolet Silverado LS 2500 (non hd). They arrived 5 days before they said, I stalled them in 5 minutes. They make my truck look a lot better and they work way better than the stock ones for hauling my mud truck. GREAT PRODUCT and EXCELLENT PRICED no defects at all. They arrived wrapped in a cloth bag and in a foam sleeve in 2 separate boxes put in 1 bigger box with the hardware needed.
