In the snapshots of time I framed with care,

Believing each photo could bind you near.

Your laughter, a melody, demons it could pierce,

Blooms of flowers on my chest would appear.

Capturing moments of love's sweetest reveal,

As veins burst with ink, poetry anew.

Yet, photographs now echo what's lost,

Reminding me, at what cost?

It's not that I cling, denying to part,

Logic insists it's a rational start.

Yet, it's the way you saw the best in me,

Disclosing the depths, setting me free.

To forget you, a wish I can't concede,

For in your gaze, my essence found its seed.

As years pass, if chance grants a rendezvous,

I'll grapple with a choice, uncertain and true.

I may not erase what you brought to life,

Laughter, tears, joy, and strife.

In this quandary, I linger, can't set it free,

A silent longing, you're still a part of me.
