Christofer (MCP of AIESEC BELARUS)

— Where are you from?

— I'm from Mexico, Mexico City.

— How did you get into AIESEC?

— I got into AIESEC 2013. I was in business incubator in my school and I remember I went to ask what was AIESEC about and it was 5 weeks course with international facilitators so I just love the idea, that i show my AIESEC journey start in a warm october evening.

— What did you do in AIESEC before coming to Belarus?

— My last position in AIESEC was global support team in digital marketing. I was making like the international part of marketing in organization specifically in digital marketing and platform AIESEC hub and video making, with strategies for the email marketing.

— What is your goal of being here?

— My goal is the that Belarusian people can go out of the comfort zone. They can learn different ideas because sometimes is hard when you have so many internationals to think there is just only one way to do things. And I think in the way that we create this kind of balance and develop the organization the Belarusian people will be able to be entrepreneurs to be what ever they want so that what I want.

— Do you have some kind of development plan in Belarusian AIESEC?

— Well.... We are in different challenges in this reason. Some things cannot be executed here. Organization here is very young. There is so much to do and there is the only one year left. Team should be more united and I want to follow the standards

— What pluses and minuses can you see in Belarusian AIESEC?

— Plus - people do AIESEC with almost nothing and people do AIESEC because they want, not just because it is nice and fancy or because they want to travel to all over the parts of the world. Usually when you come to a big entity you are like my position you go to international meetings and our organization will pay for all expenses. Minus - it is because of the Belarusian reality here. Sometimes they put borders in their mindsets. And sometimes "oh come on, this is belarus." This is not a real argument to say and this is not going to work. But if we do not try it will never know if it is actually working.

— Some motivation words for AIESECers.

— I think the first thing that I want to change when I become mcp that the person that you never see. And they don't know the reality of the mcp or they don't even talk beacause he is superior and they have these problems. I remember the time when my local committee and lcvp came and she say hi to me I pay for your bills not directly but in some way so that's why I so open for the members so my personality is very open and friendly. and when I want to motivate them they see that we strive for so we are facing in problems is not to complain about this situations and guys who put a lot of efforts because we are wants to see a better AIESEC in belarus so sometimes happens the opposite sometimes this guys are complaining they don't want to make something better. That's why we are making this. Let's be friends.

Julian (MCVP finance and legal )

— Where are you from?

— Colombia

— How did you get into AIESEC?

— When I was 17 and I was studying in my city we had some conference room by AIESEC. There was not so much motivation to join so I did not join. Few years later and when I was in Argentina as an exchange student for university I had the opportunity to join AIESEC: It was in a work fair and they told me they were hosting an event the next weekend and asked me for joining, I said: “Yes, let's go”. It was 5 years ago.

— What did you do in AIESEC before coming to Belarus?

— In my last position it was national support team in finance in AIESEC in Argentina and United States. It was a virtual position and I was the auditor and coach of some LCVP. Before that I was LCVP Finance in AIESEC Rosario, a committee in Colombia.

— What is your goal of being here?

— My goal of being here is bring some stability to the entity because it has been growing but not in a healthy way and it is necessary to do it in a right way.

— Do you have some kind of development plan in Belarusian AIESEC?

— Yes we had a training goal but I think that more important is talent management and sales coaching. Leadership, team building and team coaching will be the focus.

— What pluses and minuses can you see in Belarusian AIESEC?

— Minus: team minimums implantation. And there is a lack of leadership delivery in Belarusian AIESEC and here we are talking not only about soft skills but also about hard skills, for example the sales coaching. And it is difficult to keep oriented, to do AIESEC in general because of lack of time and space. Plus: the desire of people to do AIESEC because people are not only studying or working, they are doing AIESEC

— Some motivation words for AIESECers.

— Motivation should come from inside. Find the motivation of what you really want to do in AIESEC. This is how AIESEC works, it is like the inner and outer journey through the world of AIESEC. So we as leaders are only that voice that suggest something, but the real motivation depends on everyone.

Prachi (MCVP TM)

— Where are you from?

— I'm from Lucknow, India.

— How did you get into AIESEC?

— I joined AIESEC in August 2014. A friend of mine told me about AIESEC, initially I wasn't confirmed but after talking to my parents about it I joined. It was really very difficult for me to understand AIESEC because I've never been a part of the professional organisation before. I took a lot of leadership roles which made me stay here!

— What did you do in AIESEC before coming to Belarus?

— It's been more than 3 years now to be a part of this beautiful organisation. Every day of AIESEC Journey made me learn something. These 1155 days in this organisation made me learn a lot of things. Each and every day was very much productive. I've been a part of a lot of teams in AIESEC but I'll mention the precious ones. When I became the Team Leader for the Incoming Exchange in 2015, these 6 months made me grow as an individual. I've learnt a lot in these 6 months. In 2016, I got selected as the Vice President of Incoming Exchange, this year made me the person I am today! I've learnt so many things that I can not even frame them in my words. In 2016, I applied for the role of the President of AIESEC in Lucknow for the year 2017 but I couldn't make it. After this I was broken and demotivated so I chose to apply for the reterm in Talent Management. After 6 months of my journey because of few things I had to resign and then I saw this beautiful opportunity of AIESEC in Belarus. I was very nervous and excited at the same time but there were few people who supported me throughout this procedure. The day I got announced was one of the beautiful days I've spent in this organisation.

— What is your goal of being in AIESEC Belarus?

— My ultimate goal is to deliver experiences with Belarusian youth and to make people aware about AIESEC and make them engage through it. People in Belarus should realise the value of this organisation because they deserve to get to know about this beautiful organisation which can impact their lives.

— Do you have some kind of development plan in Belarusian AIESEC?

— Ah yeah. I do have development plans for AIESEC in Belarus. I would like to share one of them, Rewards and Recognition and IXPs would be one of the major focuses of my MC Term because I feel these are the two major things which will make AIESEC in Belarus more and more visible and strong.

— Is there any kind of motivation for AIESECers?

— Yes Yes definitely, "It's the intent which takes you there", this is the one quote in which I believe in a lot. You guys are here because you all have that intent in you towards this organisation. Do not Quit, you will gonna face those times when you'll feel that you should leave this organisation but make you earn each and everyday here. Make everyday as productive as you can! Because life is too small and I think everyone deserves to be happy and productive. This organisation will make you grow immensely but you'll have to make sure one thing, be self dependent. No one will come and make your experience beautiful apart from you. Have fun here, make people happy here, make friends and create an amazing impact, so that once you leave AIESEC people should remember you!
