On April 28th RCMP officers stopped an east bound vehicle for a traffic violation.

The officer could smell marihuana in the vehicle and conducted a further investigation which lead to the seizure. 1kg of methamphetamine and approximately 5 grams of cannabis marihuana were located in the vehicle.

The driver of the vehicle, Moin Naimi Shishavan, 20, of Coquitlam, BC and passenger, Mohammad Khaleghi-Moghaddam, 21, also of Coquitlam, BC were arrested and charged with possession of methamphetamine for the purpose of trafficking and possession of cannabis.

They are scheduled to appear in court on May 20, 2015 in Hinton, Alberta
