It is 'extremely well-liked' | BT Society - www.bt.dk If there is anything worse than paying a bill, it is to pay the same bill twice. And precisely that fear is being played on in a phishing email that several customers at Stofa are currently receiving. Norlys, of which Stofa is a part, writes in a press release that they receive inquiries daily from customers who have received this 'extremely well-liked' phishing email. The fake mail is, among other things, equipped with a Stofa logo. The text itself states 'We inform you in writing that your invoice for March 2022 has been paid twice' and that 'You can request a refund (...) by clicking on the following link'. But Norlys will never send out such an email, explains Henrik Simonsen, director of the customer center at Norlys Digital. “We would never ask our customers to enter their account information that way. If you have received such an email, you must report it as spam in your email program and delete it, "says the director. He points out that the phishing email has linguistic errors that reveal that it is not genuine. At the same time, the email is sent from an address called noreply-8184363606@nomu.tokyo. Real emails from Norlys will always end at @ stofa.dk or @ norlys.dk. “Unfortunately, we occasionally experience phishing attempts that abuse our brand in an attempt to defraud people, for example, of their account information. The emails we see at the moment are particularly well-liked, and therefore we would like to warn our customers against jumping on the scam number, "says Henrik Simonsen, who in the same vein points out that you are always welcome to call Norlys' customer service at questions of doubt.
