A devil hunter with the ability to grow chainsaws out of his body.
Denji is both brash and naive as a result of being unable to have a formal education and socialize due to living in severe poverty. His personality comes off as rude and harsh, yet in an almost childish way. He doesn't know how to be clever or wise but he knows how to lighten the mood.
Called the “Hero of Hell” by Makima, where she explains that the Chainsaw Man would track down the cries of devils, to cut them down and rip them apart. Due to the fact that the names of any devils he eats cease to exist, he’s become the devil that devils fear the most.
Formed a contract with the Blood Devil where it would give him blood and in return Denji would find and befriend the Blood Devil and turn it back into Power.

About Character and Role:
A Public Safety Devil Hunter, working under Makima's special squad.
Aki Hayakawa is a handsome young man with medium-length black hair and green eyes. He usually wears his hair in a topknot style. He often wears a suit and tie. He also wears earrings and usually carries his sword on his back. Aki generally appears to be a very stoic person. He acts mature and dependable when he's with his fellow Devil hunters, but is actually very soft when he is alone. He has a tendency to get attached to others easily, and hates to see people get hurt, especially his close friends.
Aki's primary goal and reasoning for becoming a Devil Hunter is to kill the Gun Devil to get revenge for his family.
He has contracts with the Curse Devil and Future Devil, and a former contract with Fox Devil.
He was killed and possessed by the Gun Devil, thus becoming a Gun Fiend.
Upon becoming a gun fiend, he attacked Denji and Power, which led to Denji killing him. Throughout the fight, Aki pictured it as if they were having a snowball fight. Once he was finally defeated by Denji, the Future Devil appeared, and reminded him of how he’d die in the worse possible way, this time furthering it by saying it’s the worse possible way he could die as far as Denji is concerned.

About Character and Role:
A fiend and Public Safety Devil Hunter, part of Makima's squad.
Power looks like a young woman with pinkish hair that reaches down to her mid-back. As a fiend, she has light red horns protruding from the top of her head, red and yellow eyes that form a cross pattern, and sharp teeth with defined fangs. Power is childish, greedy, and almost entirely self-motivated. She tends to fights if she has something to gain and is certain of her victory and has no problems in running away from a fight where she is outmatched. She also feels the need to boast her superiority over her fellow Devil Hunters due to her status as a fiend. She has no loyalty to humanity, openly admitting that she will join the winning side. Power is often rude, unkempt, and feels as though those around her should clean up after her. She self-admittedly rarely bathes or flushes the toilet and sees humans as being sensitive for caring about their hygiene so much.
She was killed by Makima.
She was later revived by Pochita after creating a contract with him where she would eat him to be revived and then save Denji. She was able to survive after being killed by Makima due to the blood she had Denji drink that still lived in him. When she revived, she came back in a new form — that which consisted of elongated limbs, 4 arms, an exposed rib cage and organs of the neck and torso, a head that resembled the shape of a sharks with four horns.

About Character and Role:
A Public Safety Devil Hunter who took Denji as her human pet.
Makima is a beautiful woman who appears to be in her twenties. Her hair colour is light brown, usually kept in a loose braid with eye length bangs and two longer side bangs that frame her face. Her eyes are light red with yellow coloured multiple rings within them. She is ruthless and willing to sacrifice the lives of others and harm innocent people if it benefits her.
It's later revealed that Makima is, in actuality, the Control Devil.
Makima is an extreme fan of the Chainsaw Devil, and by proxy Denji. Fascinated by its ability to wipe out the embodied concept of a devil when eating them, her goal is bringing the Chainsaw Devil under her control, using its power to create an "ideal" world without fears.
It was discovered by Denji that Makima doesn’t remember one face from another, but that she instead perceived people who interests her through her sense of smell. Through this, he was able to kill her, knowing that she only ever saw Chainsaw Man, and never once cared for Denji.
It’s inferred that Denji ate her.
