Harshal.

Harshal looked up only to find himself staring at one of the most beautiful person he'd ever seen in his life. And they kept glancing at their watch, probably woried that they’d be late.

“Do you mind if I join you today?”

“Sure,” They shifted their notes out of the way, putting some of it away in their backpack. The table at Harshal’s apartment was kind of small for two laptops, but they made it work. “Are you hungry?” he added, offering a cookie.

They smiled in response and Harshal might've been a little entranced. “No, thank you,” They replied and went back to watching their lecturer’s video. “Cramming for a test?”

“Nahh, I just wanted to- oh uh yeah, science and forensics,” Harshal replied nervously. “I'm starting to regret taking the abbreviated summer course. The professor's gone pretty fast paced to shove as much information into the course as possible in the shortened semester.”

“For real. When I'm not studying or in class, I'm at the hospital shadowing various doctors. I swear I haven't slept for a week.” They looked at their laptop screen and groaned, “and I may be typing gibberish for this essay as a result.”

“Will you get to sleep again after the summer semester ends?” Harshal asked.

“God, I hope so. Yes. Probably. Do people who think getting a bio-tech PhD is a good idea even sleep?”

“I'll keep my fingers crossed for your sake,” Harshal joked, earning a smile.

“You know, maybe you should uhm wear a jacket,” They murmured, looking aHarshal’s neck despite how hot it was in the room.

“I beg your pardon?” Harshal asked, raising an eyebrow. They beamed at each other for a long moment, then each blushed and stared down at their computers, busying themselves once more.
